Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Barnes Self Publishing, we strive to provide excellent service to all of our clients. However, we understand that in some cases, refunds may be necessary. This Refund Policy explains how we handle requests for refunds and the circumstances under which a refund may be issued.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests can be made within 14 days of purchase or payment, provided that the services have not been started or completed. Once the service has been started or completed, we may not offer a refund unless specified otherwise in specific service agreements.

3. Service-Specific Refunds

- **Book Design Services**: Refund requests for book design services will be considered if no design work has begun. Once design work has started, refunds will not be issued unless the work is unsatisfactory or not aligned with the initial project scope.
- **Editing & Proofreading Services**: Refunds for editing and proofreading services will be processed only if no work has been completed on the manuscript. If work has started, partial refunds may be available based on the completed portion of the project.
- **Marketing & Promotion Services**: Refunds for marketing services will be considered only if the services have not been delivered or initiated. Once work has begun, refunds are generally not available.
- **Custom Services (Ghostwriting, Website Development, etc.)**: Refunds for custom services will be processed based on the terms agreed upon in the service contract. If work has commenced, partial refunds may apply based on the completed work.

4. How to Request a Refund

If you are eligible for a refund, please contact us at info@barnesselfpublishing.co or call us at (504) 353-8367 with the details of your request. We will respond to your request within 7 business days and will issue any eligible refund within 14 days, following a review of the case.

5. Non-Refundable Services

Some services are non-refundable due to the nature of the work. These services include but are not limited to:
- Completed ebook or print book publishing services.
- Finished audiobook production or distribution.
- Completed custom writing services (e.g., ghostwriting, fiction/non-fiction writing).

6. Processing Fees

In some cases, there may be processing fees or transaction charges that are non-refundable, and the refund will be the amount paid minus these fees.

7. Refunds for Subscriptions

If you have subscribed to a recurring service, you can cancel the subscription at any time before the next billing cycle. Refunds will not be issued for past services rendered, but the subscription can be canceled to stop future charges.
